In this workshop, you will get to know some of our local native edible plants that are not found in the supermarket. Learn about what it's like to work in a local farm here in Singapore and why we need to grow more native edibles for food security.
You will get to get your taste buds busy as we try plants such as chinese violet, wild watercress, sweet potato leaves, torch ginger and more. You will also be learning how you can easily grow this at home!
Participants will get to bring home
- Lots of useful green knowledge that will help them identify edibles in the wild the next time you walk on a stroll
- Vegetable seeds and plant cuttings
- Homegrown organic tea leaves to bring home
- Banana enzyme fertiliser
